Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply when you book a service, treatment, workshop or event, make a purchase, or access paid or downloadable material from The Hallowed Nook.

Please read the relevant service or event information together with these terms before making a booking or purchase, you agree to the terms that apply to it.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.

Services

The Hallowed Nook offers individual sessions, readings, complementary practices, workshops, teaching, events and related materials. The nature, format, price and duration of each offering will be described on the relevant service, event or booking page.

Services may be reflective, educational, spiritual or complementary in nature. Their scope and professional limitations are explained on our Scope & Important Information page.

We reserve the right to decline or discontinue a service where it would be inappropriate, unsafe, outside the stated scope of the work or where reasonable boundaries have not been respected. Where The Hallowed Nook cancels a paid service before it has been provided, any payment for the unprovided service will be refunded.

Bookings & Payments

Prices and payment requirements will be shown on the relevant service, event or booking page.

A booking is confirmed only when any required payment or deposit has been received and confirmation has been issued by The Hallowed Nook.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment must be made by the date stated when booking. If payment is not received when due, the booking may be released.

Cancellations & Refunds

If you need to cancel or rearrange a booking, please contact The Hallowed Nook as soon as possible.

Where at least 48 hours' notice is provided, we will normally offer a transfer to another suitable date or a refund, subject to any reasonable costs already incurred and any specific terms stated when booking.

Where less than 48 hours' notice is provided, or you do not attend, we may retain an amount reasonably reflecting the loss caused by the cancellation. If the place or appointment can be resold, this will be taken into account.

If The Hallowed Nook cancels an appointment, workshop or event, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund of the amount paid for the cancelled offering. We are not responsible for separate costs you may have incurred, such as travel or accommodation, except where the law requires otherwise.

Services already provided are not automatically refundable simply because the outcome differed from what was hoped or expected. This does not affect your statutory rights where a service has not been provided with reasonable care and skill.

Where a booking is made online, you may have a statutory 14-day cancellation right. If you ask for a service to begin during that period, you may be required to pay for the portion already provided. Further details will be supplied where applicable.

Use of Content and Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, content published by or supplied through The Hallowed Nook, including text, images, graphics, forms, downloads, frameworks, workshop resources and teaching materials, is owned by or licensed to the proprietor of The Hallowed Nook and is protected by applicable intellectual-property law.

You may view and use this content for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, share, sell, commercially exploit, adapt or use it to provide teaching, events or services without prior written permission.

Sessions, workshops, talks and teaching may not be photographed, filmed, audio-recorded, transcribed or otherwise reproduced without prior permission.

Content may not be collected or used to create datasets or to develop, train or improve artificial-intelligence systems without prior written permission.

Nothing in these terms limits uses permitted by law, including applicable copyright exceptions for quotation, criticism or review.

Names, logos and frameworks identified as trademarks, including The Spit Principle™ must not be used in a way that falsely suggests ownership, endorsement or affiliation.

Where separate licence, confidentiality or usage terms accompany particular materials, those terms will also apply.

Liability

We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our failure to provide a service with reasonable care and skill or by our breach of these terms.

We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable, was not caused by our breach, or resulted from inaccurate or incomplete information provided to us or a failure to follow reasonable instructions.
Services and materials are provided for personal use. We are not responsible for business losses, loss of profit or loss of commercial opportuntity.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Website Use

You must not use this website unlawfully, attempt to gain unauthorised access, introduce malicious software, interfere with its operation or misuse its content or services.

Access may be restricted or suspended where reasonably necessary to protect the website, its users, The Hallowed Nook or the rights of others.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes in our services, business practices or legal obligations.

The current version will be published on this page with the date of the latest update shown at the top. Updated terms will normally apply to bookings and purchases made after publication.
The terms in force when an existing booking or purchase was made will continue to apply to it unless a change is required by law or is expressly agreed with you.

Contact & Complaints

If you have a question about these terms or are dissatisfied with a service, booking or purchase, please contact us so that the matter can be considered and, where possible, resolved.
Please include your name, relevant booking or order details and a clear description of the issue.
