LIADáN HALLOW

the liminal linguist

I'm Liadán Hallow ~ writer, seer, and liminal folklorist.

My work explores the meeting points of folklore, psyche, occult tradition, and lived experience. I handle language the way others handle herbs or runes: as craft, compass, and conjuration.

I write for those who feel the shift before the wind changes, for those who sense the story beneath the story.

This is the threshold where my words gather ~ essays, myth fragments and the studies that underpin my wytchcraft and my way of seeing.

What I Write:
THE BONES OF MY WORK

I write from the edges, the hollow ways, the in-between states, the places where meaning stirs before it speaks.

My work blends:

  • Folklore & myth-lore

  • Spirit-sense & intuitive seeing

  • Wytchcraft as lived experience, not performance

  • Psycho-spiritual mapping

  • Emotional alchemy & threshold states

  • Myth fragments born from dreaming, memory, and liminal spaces.

I follow patterns most people feel but can't name. I write for the ones who notice the flicker before the flame.

CURRENT THRESHOLD PIECES

  • Tonight's Threshold Moon ~ Halo folklore, weather-crowns, and the omen that sharpens everything it touches.

  • The Wind-Tapping Story ~ Sprites between raindrops, December storms, and the night that feels like it's listening.

  • Krampusnacht Reckoning ~ Winter shadows, old-world justice lore, and why some spirits teach by contrast.

  • The Wynter Wytch & the Goat at the Door ~ A growing mythos: Winter, truth, bone lantern and the creature who knocks before they enter.

  • Threshold Whispers (ongoing) ~ Short works that arrive like weather changes, sudden, telling, uninvited.

The Liminal Approach:
HOW I WRITE BETWEEN WORLDS

Language is my ritual tool.

Some people cast circles. Some people light incense. I listen for the hinge. The moment a story chooses to open.

My liminal approach weaves:

  • Folkloric method ~ tracing lineage, superstition, cultural memory

  • Occult logic ~ symbolic structure, subtle forces, pattern recognition

  • Psychic cognition ~ how humans sense the unseen

  • Poetic anatomy ~ how a sentence becomes spellwork

  • Lived experience ~ intuition, trauma, resilience and reconstruction

Wytchcraft and writing aren't separate for me. They are two doors that open into the same room.

A Lantern in the Dusk

I'm drawn to the place where truth becomes myth. Where the world makes sense in symbols before it makes sense in sentences.

If my words slip under your skin, you're welcome to wander further with me. You'll find more within the Hearthkeepers or the Lanternbearers tiers on Patreon and across my social media pages as well.
